This weekend we flew to Naples, Florida, to visit my parents at their vacation rental. They rented a cute house about a mile from the beach, on a canal with its own pool and hot tub. After the constant cold and dreary weather in Atlanta, I was really looking forward to some sun and beach. Unfortunately, the weather was against me. It was stormy Thursday and rained off and on Friday. Saturday and Sunday were thankfully sunny, but temperatures were in the 50s - not warm enough to go to the beach or use the pool :(
But we still had a nice time. I walked every day with my mom for 3 or 4 miles (Joseph went on runs), and we relaxed a lot at home. We went to a really nice dinner at a French restaurant by their house, and then we cooked the rest of the meals at home. Even though the weather wasn't what I'd hoped, it was still nice to get away from work and relax.
