Joseph and I found out we were pregnant on Friday, May 25. I had taken some pregnancy tests earlier in the week, but the line was very faint, so we didn't trust it. On Friday, I took another test plus an EPT test (which I assumed to be more sensitive than the cheap-o tests I bought on Amazon) and both showed positive, albeit still faint. But we decided to believe those faint lines and accept the fact that I'm pregnant :)
We had a visit planned to Spruce Pine, NC, that weekend for Memorial Day to visit Joseph's parents, so we were able to tell them in person. They were very excited to be expecting their tenth grandchild! Then I called my parents with the news on Monday. They were of course thrilled about becoming first-time grandparents!
We are anxiously awaiting my first doctor's appointment on June 15, where they'll do an ultrasound. And then I will impatiently wait until I'm 12 weeks along to tell the rest of the family and all of our friends. It will be so hard to wait!
