We decided to drive up to Spruce Pine to visit Joseph's parents last weekend. We hadn't visited since Memorial Day, and we hadn't seen them since the beach trip in July, so we figured a visit was due. We headed up after work on Friday (which resulted in us hitting AWFUL traffic) and made it up there late Friday night.
Saturday we had a relaxing day around the house, with a nice walk in their neighborhood. The weather was nice and cool, and the leaves were starting to change. We wrapped up our day with a few rounds of bridge. Joe and Diane still kill us every time, but Joseph and I are getting better!
We headed home Sunday afternoon, so it was a short trip, but it was great to see them!
