Lola - Four Months

Lola is four months old today.  Time flies!

We're still working on sleeping through the night.  She had a good stretch of a few weeks where she slept from around 9pm to between 6 and 7am.  Unfortunately that ended in early November.  Now she wakes up usually just once a night, and she usually goes back to sleep after a quick feeding.  We put her to bed between 8 and 9pm and she wakes in the morning between 6 and 7am.  I still think we're lucky and that she's a great sleeper, but I would really love it if she would sleep for 10 hours straight!  She did it once last week and it was wonderful.

Until a few days ago, Lola has been a great eater (see my previous post).  Today she seemed almost back to normal, so hopefully the rough patch is over.  In general, she eats a ton and is gaining lots of weight (I love her chunky little legs!).  I think she's starting to teethe, so she's begun sucking her thumb and chewing on toys.

Lola has rolled over from tummy to back a few times, but never consistently, and she always seemed to hate tummy time.  Then yesterday she rolled over every time I put her on her tummy!  It was exciting, and I was able to get it on video (I'll have to post that later).  Now we need to work on rolling from back to tummy.  I guess this means we'll have to stop swaddling her soon.

Lola has become much more interactive, and it's fun to see her take in the world around her.  She follows us with her eyes when we walk around, and she'll smile at us from across the room.  She's also beginning to show some interest in toys.

We go to the pediatrician on Monday for Lola's four-month appointment.  I'm excited to see how much she weighs and how tall she is.  I'm not so excited for her to get more shots.
