My best friend Paige got engaged in April. I am so excited for her! She is marrying a man named Courtney, whom we've known since college (about 13 years). They had kept in touch after college, and they started dating last year when she moved back to DC after her time in Spain. He is such a great guy, and I know they will be very happy together.
I'm sad she's in DC and I can't help her with wedding planning, but luckily Paige and Courtney stopped in Atlanta at the end of June. Paige made appointments at two wedding dress shops and invited me, her mom Pam, her sister Laura, and her sister-in-law Heather to join her. It was so much fun! I won't post any photos of her in dresses since she may not want that (and isn't it bad luck to see the bride in a wedding dress before the wedding?), but I can assure you that Paige looked beautiful in every dress she tried on. She didn't buy one that day, but she got some great ideas.
I'm happy I got to be there for this special part of wedding planning, and I can't wait for their wedding next April!
