Sweet & Funny Girl

Lola can be such a sweetheart.  She makes little gestures and says things that just amaze me sometimes.  She can also be very funny.  Here are some recent things she's said and done that make me smile.
  • When I started feeling sick Easter weekend, I was upstairs with Lola and Thomas.  We were sitting on the floor, and I felt a sudden need to lay down on the ground.  I asked her to get me a pillow, and she ran to her room and got one.  Then she ran and got me her baby doll's blanket and laid it on top of me, while patting me and saying, "It's okay, Mommy."
  • When I saw Thomas wake up one morning on the monitor, I told Lola we could go get him.  She was so excited and ran up the stairs and into his room, saying, "Good morning, Thomas!"  She reached her hand through the crib slats and was patting him on his tummy.  He started smiling back at her.  We do this almost every morning now.  She loves to be the one to open his door.
  • Last week she found some old diapers of hers in Thomas' closet, which I'm saving until he gets bigger.  She said that she wants to share them with Thomas when she becomes a baby again.  I have no idea why she thinks she will turn back into a baby!  But it was really funny.  I tried to explain that she will keep growing up.
  • She seems to be very exact - both in what things are called and how things are done.  If I ask her to bring her dish to the sink, she'll say, "No, it's a bowl." Or in the morning if I tell her to take off her pants, she says, "No, pajama bottoms."  She also requests that her all of her colored dishes match - i.e., green plate, green fork, green spoon, green cup.
She does countless cute, sweet, and funny things.  I need to start writing them down so I remember them, and also so I can read them when she's being disobedient :)
