6 Weeks

Today I am 6 weeks along in my pregnancy!  Which is a week past where I made it last time, so that's reassuring.  Although I'm still being cautious and trying not to get overly excited.

I've started having symptoms.  I'm utterly exhausted, slightly nauseous, and I get short of breath at the least amount of exertion.  But, according to my books, these are all normal symptoms.  Hopefully they will go away in a few weeks.

I've told a few close friends - both out of excitement and not wanting to have to fake drink in front of them (which I am awful at, based on my performances at three parties last weekend).  My good friend Kelsey is 14 weeks pregnant, so it was fun to tell her and share stories.  I'm so glad she will be going through this with me - and ahead of me, so she can give me advice!

We haven't yet told our parents, which is REALLY hard, because I know they (my mom especially) would be ecstatic.  But my parents are coming to visit in January, so I decided I would rather wait and tell them in person.  Plus we will have visited the doctor by then.  Hopefully we will see Joseph's parents soon too so we can tell them.

All right, it's 6pm, and I think I should start getting ready for bed...
