19 Weeks

Today I am 19 weeks.  Only one more week until we find out what little Baby Breuer is!

I've been feeling a lot better - I only feel sick if I eat too much at once.  It's nice to have my appetite back!  Now I can take advantage of the "I'm pregnant" excuse and eat all the time :)  I'm still tired, but not quite as exhausted as before.  I've been making sure I get 8 hours of sleep each night, so that's helped a lot.

This past weekend was great.  The weather was beautiful - sunny with temperatures in the 70s.  Saturday morning we met with our tax guy, which was not fun, but I'm glad it's out of the way.  We followed that with an impromptu trip to the Dekalb Farmer's Market.

In the afternoon, I took Lucy for a nice leisurely walk while Joseph worked in the yard.  He planted cherries, strawberries, and blueberries on the east-facing side of our house.  I can't wait until they grow!

Saturday night we watched the documentary The Business of Being Born, which had been recommended to me by a few people.  It was very informative, and it confirmed my decision to switch to a midwifery.  It made me feel confident that my body knows how to deliver a baby, so I'm feeling much less scared about birthing.

Sunday was more yard work for Joseph and more relaxation for me (with some errands and housework thrown in).  I walked Lucy around the park to get in some exercise, then I spent a while on the porch with my computer updating the blog (I had been slacking).  It was lovely to sit on the porch swing and watch Joseph while he slaved away in the yard :)  He ripped out the hedges in the front yard and plans to put in a bunch of flowers and small plants.

It was a great weekend, and I'm hoping the weather is as nice next weekend!
