Fun Weekend

I'm a little behind, but last weekend was great.  We had no major plans, just a lot of hanging out and seeing some friends.

Saturday afternoon we went to the Pirrottas' to see Kelsey, Aaron, and Lena, who is seven weeks older than Lola.  We had lunch and the girls "played" together (i.e., laid on the floor).  Lola appears to be larger than Lena despite the age difference.  It was fun seeing Lena roll over and use her hands to hold things - it gave me a preview of what Lola will be up to soon.  We had a great time catching up and comparing baby notes.

We got home and took a family nap, which was much needed.  Lola napped on my chest for the first time since maternity leave - I had missed that.  Then we headed to dinner at Tomatillos, a local Mexican place.  Joseph tried to give Lola some cheese dip, but she wasn't interested.  We'll try again in a few months.

Sunday we met some fellow ex-Pittsburghers (who also live in Grant Park) at Six Feet Under to watch the Steelers game.  We had a delicious lunch and enjoyed introducing Lola to our neighbors.  We left during the second quarter, but we followed the score at home and were happy the Steelers won!

The Speyers were in town visiting Karen's dad, so they stopped by Sunday afternoon to meet Lola.  It was great to see them!  Kendall and Karson are getting so big (Kendall is almost five and Karson is almost three).  They are both super cute and quite the chatterboxes.

And on top of all the fun, we managed to get our chores done and prepare for the coming week.
