Grant Park Halloween Parade

Grant Park has an annual Halloween parade for children.  Now that we have a child, we decided to attend.  This year it was on Saturday, October 26.

We walked over with our neighbors, Lindsay and Derrick, who have a toddler, Bobby, and a 5-month-old, Bennett.  There was a huge crowd at the parade - tons of children in costumes, and lots of parents were dressed up too.  The parade wasn't so much a parade as a leisurely stroll around the north end of the park, but it was fun.  I'm sure Lola will really enjoy it when she's older.

The parade ended in the park by the pavilions, and we laid down a blanket for some playtime.  We had snacks and drinks and socialized with neighbors.  It was a great time, and we look forward to it next year!
