Easter Weekend

We started our Easter weekend festivities with a party at the Brunes' house.  The church outside their neighborhood hosts an egg hunt (along with other activities), so the Brunes had people over for brunch and playtime beforehand.  There were a ton of kids!  It was great to see a lot of our friends and catch up.  Lola also enjoyed seeing some of her friends.

The egg hunt is usually at a local park, but because the weather had been a little rainy, it was moved inside the church.  We didn't stay for the egg hunt since Lola needed a nap (and she can't really hunt for eggs anyway), but we did visit the Easter bunny and see some animals on the petting zoo.

Sunday morning we went to the Grant Park farmers market. It was packed as usual, and we had fun checking out all the vendors.  Although we learned that we need to go earlier if we want to get vegetables before they sell out.  Instead, we bought a delicious apple caramel pie.

We had planned on going to the neighborhood Spring Fling in the afternoon, but Lola was napping and missed most of it.  I still put her in a pretty dress and walked to the park once she woke up.  We listened to some music for a little bit and then headed home.

We didn't get Lola an Easter basket since she's too young to know what's going on, but my mom did send her a package of goodies, so I considered that her basket.
