I am 26 weeks today, which is officially the beginning of the third trimester. Yikes!
I had my glucose tolerance test today. I was very nervous, since last time it did not go so well. I had heard you can drink juice instead, as long as it has the same sugar content, so I checked with the nurse at Intown Midwifery, and she told me what kind to get. Unfortunately Joseph couldn't find it at the store, and the kind I did have wasn't acceptable for whatever reason. So I had to drink the orange drink. Luckily I made it through - I had eggs and toast for breakfast, so that probably helped. Now I'm just crossing my fingers the blood test comes back negative for gestational diabetes.
Other than the test, the midwife, Gloria, measured my uterus and listened to the baby. She said everything looks good! The nurse who weighed me also said my weight gain is right on track, so that was reassuring (I feel huge).
I've been having a hard time breathing lately. Sometimes I feel like I can't quite catch my breath, or that I have to take a really deep breath to feel comfortable. Gloria said it sounds like regular pregnancy symptoms, but to let her know if it gets worse or I get any other symptoms.
Overall, I'm feeling better. I'm still very tired, but the nausea is pretty much gone and I'm feeling motivation to get things in order before the baby arrives.
I am not, however, motivated to take my photo this week. It's really not a lot of work, but I just don't feel like it. It's almost bedtime...
