As I've mentioned before, I've been pretty nauseous and exhausted during my first trimester. I have good days and bad days, but most days I'm at least a little bit nauseous. I've read that most women do feel better in their second trimester, so at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just trying to get through the days and hoping that at 12 weeks I miraculously feel better.
Even though exercising is the last thing I want to do, I think it may help me feel better. So per my friend Kat's recommendation, I signed up for an Oh Baby! Fitness pregnancy yoga class. It's an 8-week class on Wednesday nights, and the first class was last night. It was really fun. It felt good to stretch, and it was nice to be in a class with just pregnant women. I also bought a pregnancy kettlebells DVD, so that I can continue with my preferred workout (I think the gym's classes will be too intense, so I'm going to take a hiatus).
Another thing that's helping me feel better is working from home. Currently at work I'm doing mostly development work, and I don't have to interact with others too much. So I asked my boss if he would mind if I worked from home 2-3 days a week. He said that would be fine as long as I get my work done. That has been a blessing, because working at home allows me to eat when I need to (eating a lot helps with the nausea) and it cuts out at least a hour of commuting time. It's also nice to not have to worry about looking exhausted and finding clothes that fit :)
