24 Weeks

I was 24 weeks on Monday.  It feels like it's getting closer (when I'm worried about how much we have left to do to prepare), but also still far away (when I'm anxious to meet our daughter)!

Last weekend the Grant Park Parent's Network organized a neighborhood-wide yard sale, and about 30 houses participated.  We went to about 7 or 8 yard sales that were within walking distance of our house, hoping to find some good baby items.  The selection wasn't what I had hoped, but we did get about 10 pieces of clothing, a baby sling, and a BBQ tool set.  Plus we had a nice long walk with Lucy :)

We've started receiving presents from family in Pittsburgh, which is exciting!  My parents sent us a BOB jogging stroller, which we love and can't wait to use in the park.  My aunt and cousins sent us an Ergo baby carrier, which I've heard is wonderful for carrying your baby around.

Saturday I went to my friend Stephanie's baby shower.  It was really fun, and she looked fabulous of course!  She only has about 10 more weeks to go until her little girl arrives.

After the shower, I drove up to my sister-in-law Julie's house for my niece Rebecca's 7th birthday party.  Joseph was there, along with a lot of Jacob's family (my brother-in-law, who is one of seven children).  It was great seeing Becca, Rachel, and Reagan, and they are SO excited we're having a girl!  Even though Julie told them that means they'll have to share their toys :)  We had a great time hanging out with family, and Becca was really happy with all of her presents.

Sunday was the first Grant Park Farmer's Market of the year, so Joseph and I walked over and bought a lot of good food.  I love having the market so close.
