Saturday we started with a walk around the park with Lucy, since the weather was so beautiful. After lunch, we headed to Georgia Baby to shop for nursery furniture. We ended up going with what we liked on our first visit there - Baby's Dream Legendary in Vintage Gray. We bought a crib (with a slated, curved back), dresser (no hutch), and a nightstand.

After that, we went to get an ultrasound. We went to a private place where you can pay for 3D ultrasounds, but we just paid for the basic gender determination test. At first thought we were going to have a repeat performance of what happened at the doctor's, but after some rolling and coughing (by me), the technician was able to get a good view. We are having a girl!
Finally, we headed to Room & Board to buy the glider and ottoman we had decided on. This proved more difficult than expected, as we didn't like the micro-suede fabric it comes in. Fortunately, we could choose from any fabric they carry, but unfortunately, it took a long time to decide. We eventually found a neutral green woven fabric that we like.

Sunday morning, my friends Kat and Sarah met me at Babies R Us to register. It was so fun! And also so overwhelming. Luckily they are both experienced moms, so they helped a ton and told me what I needed and what I didn't need. I definitely learned a lot :) I came home and tweaked a few things online (because of course I had to do research and read reviews) and created an Amazon registry as well (some things are so much cheaper there!).
That night I went to dinner with my neighbor Sascha. She's an experienced mother of four who had natural births with midwives, so we had fun discussing all things birth and baby related.
Overall, a great weekend! Although I'm looking forward to a bit more relaxation next weekend.
