This week was our standard, boring work week, except that we did have a night out on Thursday. Our neighborhood playgroup planned a parents night out at the Republic, so we went out for dinner and drinks, along with four other couples. It was a beautiful night, so we sat on their rooftop deck and had a leisurely evening. Joseph took me for my first ride in the new truck - very exciting.
Lola had another water day at school, this time for Wren's birthday. Then we went to Wren's birthday party on Saturday. Lola really enjoyed seeing all of her school friends outside of school, and we enjoyed getting to know some of the other Nest parents a little bit better. When Lola saw the cake being brought out, she followed the woman all the way to the table and stood right at the edge, holding onto the table, waiting for her cake. Joseph had to grab her and hold her to prevent her for touching the cake. She sure loves her sugar, much to my displeasure. But she probably gets it from me.
We went to dinner Saturday night at our local favorite, El Mexicano. Unfortunately I must have eaten something bad, because I was completely incapacitated on Sunday. I was better by the end of the week, but it was rough and I missed a few days of work. That resulted in a pretty boring end to our weekend, since we didn't do much on Sunday.
