The end is in sight! It's now December - my estimated birth month - and I'm 36 weeks today.
I've been feeling okay. My aches have subsided a lot since I started seeing the chiropractor, so that's great. My main annoying symptom now is just exhaustion. I'm so tired all the time. And I physically feel like I can't do much, which is frustrating when there is so much I need/want to do. I have also started swelling in my legs like I did with Lola. I'm trying to put my legs up and rest as much as possible. The baby has been very active and is kicking me very strongly.
I had an appointment at Intown Midwifery today, and I saw Lindley. I told her about my swelling, and she felt my legs. She said since it goes away when I sleep and my blood pressure is good, it's likely just a normal pregnancy symptom and nothing to worry about. She tested me for group B strep, which I had with Lola. I'm hoping I don't have it this time since it requires me to get antibiotics during labor. Getting them wasn't very fun, as it stung going in, and it also made me really swollen after birth. Plus I'd rather not expose the baby to antibiotics.
She ended the visit by checking my belly and listening to the baby, and she said he sounds good and I'm measuring on track. We went over logistics for when I go into labor, which makes it seem real that I'll actually be having a baby soon!

You look adorable!!! It's getting so close! So excited for you. Boys steal Mama's heart in a whole new way. So exciting!
