Thomas - 3 Weeks

Thomas is changing every day.  I forgot how fast babies change!  Obviously he has grown (both in weight and height), but his personality is changing too.  His first week or two he was super quiet and didn't cry much.  Well, that has certainly changed.  He is by no means a terrible baby, but he definitely cries now and has his fussy times.  Luckily he can usually be soothed by holding him.

In an effort to combat the new fussiness, we got out the swing and pacifier this week.  He seems to be slowly growing to like both, so hopefully those will be two methods we can use to soothe him.  I also got out the activity mat so that Thomas could get some floor time.

Thomas is still sleeping in our room, but we will likely move him to his crib soon.  Like Lola, he is a loud sleeper and makes a lot of noises while sleeping.  Lola was out of our room in two weeks, so at least we've already surpassed that.  He was sleeping in the snuggle nest on our bed, but two nights ago we put him to sleep in the rock and play sleeper, and he did well.  I prefer it so far since he's not right next to our heads, so his noises don't bother me as much.  I also think the angle might help him breathe since he's sounded congested the past few days.

Thomas is still a fast and frequent eater, usually eating every two hours.  I'm hoping that will space out soon.
