34 Weeks

I was 34 weeks last Monday.  Only six more weeks to go!

This past week has been pretty productive, baby-wise.  We both had off work on Thursday for July 4, and Joseph had off Friday as well.  We hung prints in the nursery and put everything away, so the room is now ready for baby!  We also bought a monitor, so we should have everything we need now.  This is great because my goal was to have all "necessary" tasks completed by week 36, and we're well on our way there.  I just want to be prepared in case the baby arrives early, and if she doesn't, I'll be able to relax the last few weeks.

My water aerobics class was canceled last Monday due to a leak in the pool, so Stephanie found a class at the Decatur YMCA for us to go to yesterday.  However, it was not a pregnancy-only class, so we were with a bunch of senior citizens.  And the class was pretty hardcore!  The teacher stood outside the pool and directed us, and it was very fast-paced.  Plus I couldn't do some of the moves because my belly got in the way.  But it was fun and great to get in the pool and move around.  It always helps me joints.

In non-baby news, Joseph has spent a lot of time sprucing up our yard (in between the hundreds of rain showers we've had).  He also finished the aquarium stand he built to go in the office, which I'm thrilled about.  Now we can finally have fish instead of an empty aquarium!  Julie, Jake, and the girls came over for lunch today, with the ulterior motive that Jake could help Joseph move the aquarium stand into place.  It was fun to spend the afternoon with them.

We also had two nice date nights this weekend - trying to get in as much couples time as we can before Baby B joins us.  Friday was an impromptu trip to Spoon, our neighborhood Thai restaurant, when neither of us felt like cooking.  Saturday we went to La Tavola in the Highlands, followed up with a trip to Paolo's for gelato.  Yum!
