The Breuers: Lola

It looks like all my posts have been about Lola, and I'm guessing they will continue to be for a while. She's pretty much dominating our lives! But in a good way, of course :)

Lola is now 4 weeks old! Everyone told me that time would fly, and it really has. She has changed so much from the tiny, skinny newborn into a chubby little baby. I love watching her grow.

My coworkers had a happy hour at Taco Mac last Thursday to watch the start of college football, and they invited me to join them. I didn't think I would because I was unsure of how Lola would do in a loud restaurant, but I decided to give it a shot. She did wonderful and slept through the whole two hours we were there plus the whole car ride home. It was great to see my work friends and catch up on the gossip around the office. And now I know that car rides and loud restaurants put Lola to sleep!

Last Saturday was the first Georgia Tech football game of the season (against Elon, whom we crushed), and we took Lola to her first tailgate. She slept through the whole thing! It was very hot and humid, so only Joseph went to the game and Lola and I headed home after the tailgate. We'll take her to a game once she's a bit older and it's cooled down a bit.

We spent the rest of Labor Day weekend being lazy and relaxing around the house. It was nice to have some quiet time. We took a few leisurely walks in the neighborhood, and we met some of Joseph's friends for brunch on Sunday.

Today Kelsey came over with her baby Lena, who is seven weeks older than Lola, to bring us dinner for tonight. They hung out for a while and we went on a nice walk in the park. We put the girls on the activity mat to see if they would "play", but they pretty much ignored each other and just rolled around. Hopefully in a few months they can actually play together!

We have Lola's one month pediatrician's appointment on Monday, and I'm looking forward to an update on her growth!
