This pregnancy is moving along quickly. Despite my sickness, it seems to be flying by - mainly because I'm so busy with a toddler. When I was pregnant with Lola, I had nothing to do but obsess and plan over my soon-to-be baby. I feel quite neglectful of this new baby, as I really haven't planned or researched anything. I should at least skim through my pregnancy books to refresh my memory. I guess there is technically less to plan for the second time around. I already read/learned about pregnancy and birth and have my birthing preferences figured out, and I'm using the same midwife and doula. Plus we already have all the "things" you need for a baby - crib, car seat, toys, etc. I imagine I'll start doing some planning once we find out the sex and can start working on the nursery.
I also feel neglectful because I haven't been exercising or taking my prenatal vitamins. The vitamins make me gag, which makes me vomit, so I skip those. I'm hoping I can start taking them again soon, once I feel better. And exercise is the last thing I want to do after a long day at work and caring for Lola. I really need to step it up and start taking better care of myself.
As for how I'm feeling, last week was pretty rough. I started getting chills and aches and just felt all-around terrible. I googled my symptoms and convinced myself that I have listeriosis - it matches all my symptoms. But hopefully I'm just being crazy and everything is fine. I will mention it to the midwife at my appointment tomorrow. I am feeling slightly better this week after a very restful weekend.

My first type of prenatals made me vomit too. Then I tried a new kind with ginger for nausea and I LOVED them. I'm still taking them. Might be worth a shot: vitamin code raw prenatal. They're awesome. I have a big bottle and can give you some if you want to try them first!
