I was a bit concerned because I heard from a woman at my yoga class on Saturday, who also goes to Intown Midwifery, that two of the midwives had left the practice - Gloria, who attended Lola's birth, and Anjili, who is one of the founders of IM. Apparently Gloria left to go to a more traditional OB + midwives practice, and Anjili is focusing on the Atlanta Birth Center (which is great). I was worried a) that I won't know the midwife who ends up attending my birth, and b) that there won't be enough midwives to cover all the births. I told Kelly my concerns, and she checked with Margaret and reassured me that they still have three midwives attending births (Margaret, Linda, and Janet), which is sufficient for the number of patients due around me. There is also a new midwife starting on January 1. So I felt a lot better. I have met all three of those midwives, and they all seem great. Margaret is actually my neighbor - she lives across the street and a few houses down. So it would be pretty cool if she attended my birth!
No real progress in Baby Boy preparations, although we did briefly discuss names this past weekend. I would like to decide on a paint color this week so that we can start painting. When I look at the calendar and see that there are only 11 weekends left to get ready for the baby, two of which are Thanksgiving and Christmas, I get kind of panicky. But hopefully it will all fall into place.

You look great! Second time around at least the baby part is easier - you know what you're doing, so less stressful for sure. But the prep was harder for me due to there already being a kid there! Prime a box of diapers and go take a nap :)
