Weekly Update - October 4

I really need to start writing these regularly, because by the time I get around to it, I've forgotten what has happened!  I feel like we've been super busy lately, but most of it isn't very exciting - just lots of work, housework, Lola work, and baby prep work.

The weekend of October 4 started by Joseph taking Lola to the Georgia Tech vs. North Carolina football game.  We didn't buy season tickets this year, which was sad but made the most financial and logistical sense.  My work partner Stephen wasn't using his tickets this weekend, so the gave them to us.  I could have gone with them, but I had a prenatal massage scheduled for that afternoon, and Lola also seemed super excited about going to watch football with Daddy.  They headed to the game after her nap and got there sometime in the second quarter.  Joseph said Lola did great and was very happy the whole time - he said they had a blast.  He's got some really cute photos of them that I'll have to get and upload.

While they were at the game, I worked upstairs, moving the rest of Lola's things out of the back bedroom into the front bedroom.  I also organized some of baby boy's clothes.  So I felt pretty productive.  Plus I was able to stream the game in the background while I worked.  After the game, Joseph and Lola picked me up and we went to Tomatillos for dinner, where we ran into Lola's classmate Violet and her parents.

Sunday morning was Helena's 3rd birthday party at the Grant Park playground.  Helena was in Lola's class last year, but now she has moved up to the preschool age class.  But they still interact a lot, and Helena's brother Preston is now in Lola's class.  Lola loved seeing all of her school friends at the playground, and Joseph and I had a good time chatting with the parents.  It was an overcast day with rain threatening, but it ended up being pretty good weather.

The rest of the day we hung out at home and took care of some things.  Lola didn't nap, which was awful - she became super fussy towards the end of the day.  But we made it through.
