Lola & Lucy

It is so much fun to watch Lola and Lucy interact now.  I wasn't sure what kind of relationship they would have, but it has turned out to be great.

Lucy has gone through the following phases:

• Distrusting - When Lola was a newborn, Lucy looked like she wasn't so sure about this new being in the house.
• Ambivalent - After she got used to Lola being here, she basically ignored her.
• Playful - Once Lola started crawling and acknowledging Lucy, she started to play with her.
• Grateful - When Lola started eating, Lucy realized she got extra food, both from cleaning up the floor and getting fed Lola's leftovers.
• Excited - Now when we get home, Lucy runs to the door and licks Lola all over.  

Lola, on the other hand, has always seemed to love Lucy.  One of her first words (maybe even her very first) was dog.  She has always enjoyed petting her, and while at times she has gotten too aggressive, she is pretty gentle (and we often repeat, "gentle, gentle", to her as she's touching Lucy).
