My parents were on their annual trek to Florida for the winter, so they stopped in Atlanta the last week of January to spend some time with us. As always, it was great to have them. We enjoyed spending time with them, and we also enjoyed having help cooking and cleaning.
They were so excited to see Lola, and I think she felt the same. She smiled really big when she saw them walking up to the porch. I'm glad she got to spend some quality time with her grandparents. We still sent her to daycare to keep her in her routine, but my parents picked her up early each day, and they kept her home one full day.
Joseph and I got a date night the Saturday they were here - so nice to have free babysitters! We belatedly celebrated my birthday with dinner at 4th & Swift and an improv show at the Village Theater. It was a nice night. We also wanted to take my parents out one night. When they visited us pre-Lola, we would always take them to nice restaurants, but since Lola was born, it's pretty much been pizza and Mexican. So we got a babysitter and went to the Iberian Pig in Decatur. It is a Spanish tapas restaurant, and it was so good. Everything was delicious.
I failed to get many photos during their visit, but I'll make up for it when we visit them on Sanibel Island next week.
