My parents headed home from Florida on March 1, so they stopped in Atlanta and spent two nights with us. It was great to see them, as always! They arrived just before Lola's bedtime on Tuesday, and Thomas was fighting his bedtime, so they got to see both kids before they went to sleep. On Wednesday, we kept Lola home from school so that she could spend time with her grandparents. Coincidentally I had a doctor's appointment that morning, so it was nice to be able to leave the kids at home with my parents and go to the appointment alone. I was back in time for lunch, and then after naps we went to the playground. My mom cooked us a yummy dinner that night, and then we all headed to bed pretty early.
My parents headed to Pittsburgh Thursday morning. They have a lot to take care of in the next few months - they are having a new home built in a senior citizens' community, and they also have to prep their house to sell. I'm hoping we will be able to make it up there one last time before they sell my childhood home. They've lived there for almost 40 years!
