Zoo Visit

Joseph has been working on several house projects, so one Sunday in February I decided to take the kids to the zoo to get out of the house.  It was one of my first outings with both kids (if not the first, but I can't remember for sure), and it went surprisingly well!  I wore Thomas in our Pikkolo carrier and brought the stroller along for Lola for when she didn't feel like walking.

We looked at some animals (just a few) before Lola wanted to head to the children's area and playground.  Thomas and I went on our first train ride.  Lola is an old pro and has ridden with Grandma and Daddy before.

It was a dreary day, but it only sprinkled a little and the rain kept the crowds away, so it was nice and empty.  It is definitely nice to live across the street from the zoo so that we can go at any time, and I don't care how short our visits are.  We enjoyed our visit and then headed home for lunch with Daddy.
