10 weeks! My baby girl is growing so quickly. She feels heavier and heavier each day, which makes me feel less like I'm going to break her, so that's good. Her neck control is great, but still a little floppy sometimes. I've started putting her on her tummy a little bit each day - she used to scream so I didn't do it much, but now she likes it and will push herself up and look around for several minutes before getting tired of it.
The whole "sleeping through the night" thing didn't last. The past few nights she has woken up between 3 and 4 for a feeding, but she has gone right back to sleep until around 8, so I can deal with it. She's still not napping very much during the day, just 30-45 minutes naps here and there. But I'd rather her sleep well at night than nap.
We had an impromptu visit from Joseph's parents (aka Meemaw and Poppy) last weekend. Diane called on Wednesday and said she wanted to come hold Lola, and of course we said we'd love to see them. They arrived Friday afternoon and we had a relaxing night at our house. Saturday morning Joseph made us pancakes and then we went for a nice walk in the park. In the afternoon, we went to Julie's house to visit with her, Jake, and the girls. They were excited to see Lola, since they hadn't seen her since she was five days old. Rachel was especially enamored with her - it was very sweet. Sunday we had a nice brunch, and then the Breuers headed home. We had a great visit!
Our nanny started on October 7, when Stephanie went back to work. I had a dentist appointment on Monday, so I dropped Lola off with the nanny for a few hours while I went to the dentist (and got a pedicure). I wanted to do a trial run to see how Lola did with LaKeisha (and how I did with leaving her). We both did great! Lola was there for about 2.5 hours, and LaKeisha said she was a very good baby and took her bottle without any problems. That was a huge relief! I was planning on doing another test day next week, but since she did well, I may skip it so that I can have as much time with Lola as possible.
As my maternity leave winds down, I'm trying to squeeze in a few last fun outings with Lola. Today I had lunch with Alix, Jessica, and Matteson. Matteson, who is two, is so cute, and she really liked "baby Lola". Next week I've got another lunch planned, as well as some baby meetings.

She's just so happy! M told Chris all about lunch with Baby Lola, and when my parents skyped with her last night they heard about it too :) I'm going to miss seeing her (and you!) so often when you go back to work.
