Lola - 8 Weeks

Lola is eight weeks old today.  And still growing, growing, growing!  We had to remove the infant insert from the carseat and move the straps up to the next level.  We probably should have done it a bit sooner, as she was getting quite snug in there.

Lola has quickly become a lady who lunches.  Last week we had four "dates".  We visited Martha and Lainey at their new house on Monday, met Alix and Nora for lunch on Tuesday, met my old coworker Chris for lunch on Thursday, and met Jessica and Mackenzie for lunch on Friday.  Busy week!

This Monday we went to Alix's for a playdate.  Lola got to "play" with Everett, Nora, Ryder, and Matteson.  It was really sweet to see the older kids with Lola - they loved her.  Miss Nora kept up her reputation for sleeping through everything.

Last weekend was the first weekend since Lola was born when we didn't have visitors or any plans.  We took advantage and had a relaxing weekend as a family, taking long walks and hanging around the house.  We went to dinner at Mezcalito's on Saturday and had a nice evening on the patio.  On Sunday, we walked to the Grant Park Farmer's Market and met up with Stephanie, Rochelle, and Dione (and their babies and husbands).

My mom came into town yesterday afternoon for another visit - she couldn't stay away from her granddaughter!  We're excited to have her with us again.  Lola has changed so much in the five weeks since she left, so it's fun for my mom to see Lola smiling and interacting.
