On Monday, we went to the pediatrician for Lola's two-month appointment. She confirmed what we suspected - Lola is getting big! She weighs 11 lbs 10.5 oz, which is 79.5%, and she measured 23.6 inches, which is 94.5%. And I guess she has a small head for her body, because the circumference is 15.16 inches, which is only 64.8%.
Lola had to get three shots and one oral vaccine. She screamed like I have never heard her scream before, but I nursed her during the shots and she was quickly calmed once I got her to start nursing again. She was a bit fussy the rest of the day, but she didn't get a fever. Yesterday she seemed back to normal.
We have now had FOUR consecutive nights of her sleeping through the night, so let's hope tonight makes a fifth. I feel very lucky to be getting sleep, and I'm afraid I may have jinxed it by telling people.
Grandma Trapold stayed in town until this afternoon. We were very sad to see her go! We had a wonderful visit - lots of relaxing days with some lunches and shopping thrown in. And of course we loved having Grandma here to cook for us.
We just found out that Meemaw and Poppy (Joseph's parents) are coming to visit this weekend, so we are very excited! They haven't seen Lola since she was two days old.
