We had another full and productive weekend last weekend. Saturday I went to my friend Kelsey's baby shower. She is also having a girl and is due June 19. She looked great! The shower was very nice, and it was fun to catch up with friends and meet some of Kelsey's other friends and family.
After the shower, I headed out on a mission to find a nice dress for my baby showers. I struck out at Pea in a Pod - nothing seemed to fit my growing body properly. But I found a really pretty dress at Izzy's Maternity in Buckhead. I love it and plan to commit a fashion faux pas by wearing it to both my Pittsburgh and Atlanta showers :) I see no need to buy two nice dresses that I'll only wear a few times.
I also stopped by Michael's to pick up some craft supplies. I've decided to make a few things for the nursery, and I'll post about those projects separately. Cross your fingers that they go well!
Sunday Joseph and I went to Home Depot and picked out new ceiling fans for upstairs (one for the nursery and one for the guest room). We also bought a few paint samples, so we will try those out and see if we can agree on the winning color. It will be some shade of pink or coral, but there are just so may choices!
In not-so-fun news, we had our regular HVAC maintenance last Saturday, and they found a leak in our upstairs unit. It's 15 years old, so they suggested replacing the whole unit rather than trying to repair it (and it's actually cheaper to replace than repair, which is weird). So they came out this morning and replaced it. It was an unexpected expense, but I'm glad we had it done before the baby arrives, and now we know that she (and our guests) will be comfortable sleeping upstairs.
