28 Weeks

I'm really late with this post due to my work travel last week.  I was 28 weeks last Monday, which marked the start of my third trimester!  Unfortunately this coincided with my company's conference in Orlando, so I had to fly down on Sunday.  It's always fun seeing old clients and hanging out with coworkers, but it was exhausting being on my feet a lot and constantly talking to people.  Usually the week is spent staying out late drinking and visiting a theme park or two.  I couldn't do either this year, so I retreated to my room fairly early each night and left the drinking to my coworkers.  I flew home Wednesday and was very happy to be back in my own bed, and to see Joseph and Lucy of course.

I'm still feeling really well, which I consider a blessing.  I'm feeling slightly heavy and achy, but nothing unbearable.  I had an appointment on Thursday at IM and took my glucose tolerance test redo.  Luckily I was able to keep it down this time!  I don't know the results yet, but I should have them tomorrow.  The midwife I met with, Anjli, said everything looked good.  I'm measuring right on schedule, and she determined that the baby's head is down.  She felt around for the head and thought it was down, but she was confused since I said most of the movement I feel is low.  So she rolled in an archaic ultrasound machine to double check.  After looking for literally two seconds, she confirmed that the baby's head is down.  So that's good news!  Hopefully she stays that way.

Last night the baby was moving around A LOT - the strongest I've felt.  It was exciting!  Although Joseph felt it and said it was kind of freaky.  I guess that means she's getting bigger and is almost ready to meet us!
